Peninsula Records and Books Shipping Policy

At Peninsula Records and Books, we aim to provide fast, reliable shipping services through Australia Post. All orders are dispatched from our location in Adelaide, SA, with tracking available for every order.


Dispatch Times

  • Same-Day Dispatch: All in-stock items are dispatched on the same day the order is placed, provided the order is received before 1 pm ACST on business days. Orders placed after 1 pm will be dispatched the following business day.

  • Pre-Order & Backorder Items: Pre-order and backorder items will ship as soon as they become available. Other items in the same order will be dispatched separately, and additional shipping charges will apply.

  • Dispatch Timeframes:

    • In Stock: Dispatched within 24-48 hours.
    • Sourced from Suppliers: Dispatched within 4-6 or 10-14 business days, depending on availability.
    • Pre-Orders: Dispatched after the release date listed.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes by Region

The estimated delivery timeframes after dispatch are as follows:

  • Metro Areas (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide):
    • Express: 1-3 business days
  • Regional Areas:
    • Express: 3-5 business days
  • Remote Locations:
    • Express: 5-7 business days

Delivery Options

We offer an express delivery option through Australia Post:

  • Express Shipping: $9.95, with an estimated delivery time of 1-3 business days for areas within the Australia Post Express Network.

  • Free Shipping: Available on orders over $130 Australia-wide.  All Free Shipping is by Express Post. 


Delivery Delays

Please note that during peak periods (e.g., holiday seasons) or due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters), delivery times may be extended. We will notify you if your delivery is affected by such delays.


Tracking Your Order

All orders include tracking so you can monitor your parcel from dispatch to delivery. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number and instructions on how to follow your parcel’s journey.


Pre-Orders

Your order for pre-ordered items will be dispatched after the item's release date. Other items in the same order will not be held until the pre-order is fulfilled. They will ship separately, and additional shipping charges will be applied for each shipment. You will receive a separate notification when your pre-order has been dispatched.


Business Days Only

Orders are processed and shipped on business days only. This excludes weekends and public holidays, as Australia Post does not operate on these days.


Damaged or Lost Parcels

If your parcel is damaged or lost during shipping, please contact us within 7 business days of the estimated delivery date. We will assist you in filing a claim with Australia Post and work to resolve the issue promptly.


No International Shipping

We currently do not offer international shipping. Our services are limited to addresses within Australia.
